Dry Cooling - Bulk Air Cooler/Cooling Tower (BAC)

This system is a specialty cooling tower design with the dual purpose of heat rejection and mine shaft ventilation (heating/cooling of air) used primarily in gold mines.

GEA specializes in the design, fabrication, delivery and construction of a dual purpose mechanical draft cooling tower used in mining applications. This system employs a pre-cast concrete structure and specialized air chambers, which allow forced draft type fans to supply necessary air ventilation to the underground mine shafts.
